ANIMAL NEGLECT

I have the idea of putting two pictures next to each other to show contrast between a happy dog and an unhealthy sad dog, preferably from the same breed, and say something like “Notice the difference” or “Recognise cruelty”.

POVERTY

Have thought about using a child’s crying face and a picture of clean water pouring down to show how just seeing the picture can make the very sad since it is something she can only dream of.

Still deciding which one to choose, both of them are something I would love to draw more people’s attention to.

POVERTY – a huge issue that is a way of life in third world countries where there are thousands of people people dying daily because of hunger, mostly innocent children.

ANIMAL ABUSE – it is heartbreaking how much cruelty there is towards the weakest and most innocent creatures, I would love to do something to change the situation for the better.

CHILD ABUSE – it is wrong to abuse, especially those in the ages where they put the basis to their future, the ones abused are more likely to end up with a dark future.

5 campaigns that work for me

http://www.hemmy.net/images/advertisements/adoptionad01.jpg

This campaign is very eye-catching because there is something unusual about it – the way the child is bigger than the mom. It gives the idea across very well –  adoption is totally worth it.

http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Media/Pix/pictures/2009/03/23/bullying550.jpg

This one is very shocking and will bring the reality to the people. First of all, what catches the eye is the person who has hanged himself but when having a closer look at the details we can see the rope being formed out of word the bullies would be using.

http://thisisnotadvertising.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/04311.jpg

This one has also this good shocking effect and gives the point across really well. It is something that makes people think because it’s a relatable matter. There are too many people not satisfied with what they do. This would be like their chance to change things.

http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2008/04/30/hook460x276.jpg

Why this campaign works is because of the ugliness of the picture. It makes us wonder what on earth it is about, why is there a hook in the man’s cheek. The way how hard it is to look at the picture for a long time, makes it work a lot better.

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_FtuG0ZOGjI4/SwqXPSp_KUI/AAAAAAAABy0/lbL6jnsUjQQ/s1600/cordaid-print-advert-handbag.png

This one is my favourite out of the five. The first thing we do is that we chech the price of the bag, THEN we notice the smaller writing below. It shows the ugly truth how people consume but they never find the smallest of amounts of money to do something good for those in need of the most elementary things.
